Native bee honey competition at the Brisbane Ekka 2023

ENTRIES NOW OPEN for the Royal Queensland Show’s (Ekka) 2023 Apiculture Competition. Get your native bee honey ready for the three categories: Tetragonula carbonaria Honey, Tetragonula hockingsi Honey, Austroplebeia australis Honey.

Judging will take place on Saturday 5 August in and entries will be displayed in the Agricultural Hall at Ekka until Sunday 20 August.
Collection of exhibits: 20 – 21 August

Native Honey exhibited in Native bee honey Classes must be shown in round parallel-sided bottles of clear glass with white tops and contains 50 g of honey. Two full bottles are needed for each entry, with an air space of 6mm to be left at the top of each jar.
