Cassowary Coast Branch – April 2024

Our last event was supposed to be our market stall at the Feast of the Senses at the end of March. Unfortunately torrential rain leading up to the weekend saw us cancel the stall. The rain has finally abated and the sun is out. The bees are making up for lost time and my hives have been very busy with high numbers of bees out foraging. I think they are strong enough to do a split and or brood lift to create
some new hives. If successful at least one of the new hives will go to a local school that has been keen to add a native hive to their food garden.
