Cooperative Research Centre for Pollination Security

Improving pollination outcomes for agriculture and the environment

A team is preparing a bid for Cooperative Research Cen-tre (CRC) for Pollination Security. If they get a guernsey, this Centre will oversee a lot of research over many years into the health and utilization of pollinators, including of course native bees.

An online Forum on 29 July attracted 120 participants from all states and territories across Australia. There was broad stakeholder representation from horticulture, seed production, honey bees and native bees, technolo-gy providers, government, universities and banking.

A recording of the Forum can be found via this link: https://www.wheenbeefoundation.org.au/our-work/research-projects/crc/
