Australian Pollinator Week 2025

Spring is here! technically…. And with the arrival of warmer weather, comes the appearance of some of our favourite native bees and other insect pollinators. I will be donning two hats for this collaboration… As the founder of APW and as a representative for the ANBA, Australia’s peek body representing all Aussie bees. I am hoping that the members of the ANBA will embrace this new collaborative effort and become involved in a variety of APW events. There are lots of resources on the APW website. Activities could include taking part in the Australian Pollinator Count, building a bee hotel or planting for pollinators. Get the kids involved in some art activities like painting, photography, mosaics or stencilling. Or you could join the Photography competition. Your local ANBA branch could hold an education day for their community. You could inspire your local school or daycare centre to do some APW activities, or even your local retirement village. So, start planning now…
