Sydney branch – July 2023

Sydney Native Bee Community will have a stall at the Inner West Council Eco Footprints Festival. The theme for the stall will be Native bee honey. Sugarbag is honey made from native stingless bees. Learn tips on how to prepare honey for competition judging at the Royal Easter Show, and enjoy a native bee honey tasting experience.

We will have sales for books and promote the ANBA membership – Sam will provide an observation hive as well.
Natalie and Michelle will be presenting talks including Introducing native solitary bees of the Sydney region, including how to create a habitat friendly garden to attract solitary bees for increased pollination. You will learn about the difference between solitary and social native bees, and the importance of native bee diversity to local ecology.
